The contractual SLA (uptime target, service credits, support response times) applies to the Platform plan. Free, Builder, and Team are provided on a best-effort basis. Overage rates apply per 1,000 validations above each tier's included monthly allowance, billed via Stripe Metered Billing.
How billing works
Stripe metered billing
Each validation reports a usage event to Stripe with idempotency_key = validation_id so retries are safe. At the end of the billing period, Stripe sums the events and bills you for any usage above your tier's included allowance.
VAT and reverse charge
For business customers in the EU with a valid VIES VAT number, the supply is subject to the reverse charge under Article 44 of EU Directive 2006/112/EC — you self-account for VAT. For other customers, any applicable tax is calculated and shown at checkout (Stripe Tax). An itemised invoice is available on request.
Cancel any time
Cancel via the Stripe Customer Portal — takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial-month cancellations.
14-day consumer right of withdrawal (EU)
EU consumers can withdraw within 14 days of subscribing under Directive 2011/83/EU. By signing up and using the Service before the period expires you expressly consent to immediate provision and waive the right of withdrawal once usage starts. See Terms.
Frequently asked
Is the free tier really free?
Yes. 200 validations per calendar month, no credit card required. We do rate-limit and may terminate free accounts that exhibit abuse or unauthorised commercial use, but normal development and integration testing falls comfortably within the allowance.
What happens when I exceed my monthly allowance?
On paid tiers, overage is billed via Stripe Metered Billing at the per-1,000 rate shown on each tier (€8/€6/€4). On the Free tier, requests above 200/month return429 Too Many Requests; upgrade in the Customer Portal to lift the cap.
Can I switch tiers mid-month?
Yes. Stripe pro-rates upgrades immediately and applies downgrades at the next renewal. The included allowance carries over to the new tier on the next cycle.

Above ~250,000 validations/month, drop us a note at hello@eleata.io. We price linearly down from the Platform overage rate on enterprise commitments.
